Why the County Judge Matters to Tarrant County

What the County Judge Actually Does

The Tarrant County Judge serves as the county’s chief executive, presiding over the Commissioners Court and helping set the direction for how county government operates. The Judge plays a central role in budgeting, overseeing county departments and boards, ensuring public access to government, and guiding decisions that affect public safety, infrastructure, and taxpayer dollars. While the title includes “Judge,” this role is about leadership, management, and accountability—not courtroom rulings.

Why It Matters

My background has prepared me for exactly this kind of leadership. As a former corrections officer and current healthcare professional, I’ve worked inside complex public systems where safety, efficiency, and accountability are not abstract ideas—they’re daily responsibilities. I’ve seen firsthand what happens when systems are mismanaged and when leadership fails to listen. Combined with my years of grassroots involvement in Tarrant County, this experience gives me the perspective needed to lead responsibly, manage county operations effectively, and always put the public first.

Regardless of political affiliation, every Tarrant County resident deserves a county government that is transparent, accountable, and focused on results.
